Interview with Carla

Recently, I had the pleasure of talking with Carla, a teacher and lifelong learner. Listen below to learn about Carla’s pursuit of learning and knowledge.

About Carla

Carla is a retired Head of Modern Languages with experience in Immersion, Extended and Core French.

She learned English as a second language as a very young child and continues to  be fascinated by languages and language acquisition to this day. (Since her retirement, she has had the luxury of renewing her passion for Old English. If you are also interested in OE, she highly recommends Dean Easton’s stellar online group, Sprecaþ Englisc.) Other interests Carla is pursuing as a lifelong learner are graphic arts, reading, and technology --especially creating digital art and exploring the possibilities and limitations of AI in translation.

As a French teacher, she was often invited by groups such as the Ontario Modern Language Teachers Association to present workshops on how to engage students and make even challenging lessons entertaining AND meaningful.

Today, she contributes to both TES and TPT as thefrenchwhisperer
