Screenshots Book

Abstract ideas

I have a habit of taking screenshots of my phone’s lock screen from time to time, so I made an artist book with the images. As I made the book, I was thinking about On Kawara’s Date Paintings.

What will you catalogue or reference in your book of screenshots?

Steps:

1. Catalogue all of the screenshots you have taken on your phone or computer by putting them all in one folder. Consider asking others to share theirs as well.

2. Look for common themes or messages in the collection of screenshots. What story do these screenshots tell on their own, when the artist is not there to explain it?

3. Print the best screenshots on a paper of your choice (something heavy-weight would work well)

4. Arrange the pages in some kind of order that makes sense to you, and bind the prints into a book.

5. Share with your community!
