How to Talk About Art with Kids and Adults

Sometimes it’s hard to find things to say about an artwork. It is, after all, a visual medium, and applying language to art can feel like a mismatch. So what do we say to kids when they see, or make, a work of art they’d like to talk about with you?

Here are my tips for talking about art with Elementary/Middle school audiences as well as High School/Adult students.
